The 11th ceremony was held once a year at the Surp Haç Church on Akdamar Island in Van. In addition to many Christians, local tourists also participated.
The 11th service was held at the Surp Haç Church on Akdamar Island in Lake Van, where the Ministry of Culture and Tourism gives permission for the service once a year. Christian clergy and citizens of this religion who came to the city to attend the ritual were transported to the island by boats from Gevaş Pier.
Christian citizens lit candles and made wishes before the service.
While the Mayor of Gevaş and the District Governor of Gevaş watched the ceremony, which was held without a protocol this year, priest Hovagim Seropyan and Deputy Party Father Şirvan presented the service.
The ritual ended with prayers.
